Alexander's background was in ecology and food chemistry, but his passion for music led him to become a professional flutist. This led to a passion for the purest and most airy music - ethnic and folk, and led him to join the band Zhivitsa.

He is an experienced multi-percussionist, drummer, and former vocalist. Yaroslav has a keen sense of musical texture. Using grooves and delicate breaks, he creates the foundation of Zhivitsa's sound. Variable playing with dynamics and timbre are key elements of Yaroslav's style.
Yaroslav loves rock music, especially art rock, as it embraces both soul and intellect. This is probably due to Yaroslav's diverse musical education, which encompasses folk, classical, jazz, and rock music.

Alexander is responsible for the band's most important instrument, the heart of the music, the engine that drives it – the bass.
Besides his musical occupation, Alexander is a passionate reader of literature and he likes jogging. He is a philosopher, poet, and a fan of the works of Dostoevsky, Tarkovsky, and Zvyagintsev. He loves Lake Baikal - his birthplace, vast landscapes of Russia, and the natural beauty of the Earth.
Alexander is well-rounded. Having begun his career as an accordionist, he became a professional bass guitarist, but he always enjoys playing other instruments.
He always had an affinity for science and foreign languages, but the guitar won out after watching too much Yngwie Malmsteen. If not for music, Alexander would have become a historian, a linguist, or maybe just a gamer. Naturally curious, including musically, he consider classical guitar and jazz the best fields for exploration and experimentation. Alexander joined the band at Yaroslav's invitation and consider it his destiny. He simply wanted to play my songs on guitar in stadiums.
